    How am I insured and what is the deductible?

    All our scooters are fully insured. In the event of damage, you pay a maximum of CHF 500.- deductible. Rental prices include comprehensive insurance with a deductible of CHF 500.-.

    Do I need to pay a deposit?

    A deposit of CHF 500.- is always required.

    • When? At vehicle handover.
    • How? By credit card as a “deposit payment”.
    How can I pay?

    You pay the rental fee directly when booking. We accept the following payment methods:

    • Visa
    • MasterCard
    • Debit card (Electronic Cash)
    • Cash
    Which driving licence do I need?

    You need a valid Swiss driving licence in category A or A1.

    Unfortunately, rentals are not possible with a learner’s permit.

    Is there a mileage limit?

    With monthly rental, all kilometres are included. For weekend and weekly rentals, we charge extra kilometres at CHF 0.25 per kilometre.

    What fixed prices are available?

    We offer three fixed prices:

    • Weekend: CHF 160.-
    • Weekly rental: CHF 320.-
    • Monthly rental: CHF 750.- (all kilometres included)
    Can a second person ride along?

    Yes, the NIU NQiX 500 has a passenger seat and footrests – a second person may ride along.

    Is a helmet included in the price?

    A helmet is not included in the rental price. You can rent one from us (available in M and XL).

    What should I do in case of an accident?

    In the event of damage, the following is important:

    • Notify the police
    • Inform RYDR immediately
    • Secure evidence (photos, witnesses)
    • Do not admit liability

    Insurance coverage may be voided in case of violations.

    What do I do in case of a breakdown?

    We offer roadside assistance. In this case, call our emergency number immediately.

    How does the charging policy work?

    The “full to full” principle applies: You receive the scooter fully charged and return it fully charged (at least 80% battery). If the scooter is returned insufficiently charged, we will charge the charging costs plus a CHF 50.- processing fee.

    How can I cancel my booking?

    Up to 48 hours before the rental start, no cancellation fees apply. From 47 hours before the rental start, we charge 50% cancellation fees.

    Do I need to return the scooter cleaned?

    Yes. The vehicle must be returned in a clean condition. A cleaning fee may apply if returned in a dirty state.
